This is Afronaut Press
Across the continent and beyond, African writers are telling stories the world needs to read.
Afronaut Press publishes and co-publishes fiction, non-fiction and children’s books within that tradition — bringing more of those stories to more readers, wherever they are.
What we see
African publishing has a rich history. Storytelling on this continent predates the printing press by centuries, and publishers across Africa have been doing vital work for generations. But the global industry — distribution, digital infrastructure, international rights — still hasn’t caught up. Too many great African books don’t travel far enough. Too many readers, on the continent and beyond, still can’t easily find them.

About Us
We work inside the African publishing ecosystem — adapting, co-publishing, aiming to create and distribute stories that deserve a wider audience.
Imagine a reader in Lagos, Nairobi, Harare, or London picking up a book and seeing their neighbourhood, their family, their language in the pages. That’s what we’re publishing towards. One book at a time.
