Front and back covers

The Akili Trust was set up to promote, improve and encourage literacy and educational opportunities in Kilifi Province, on the coast of Eastern Kenya. The Trust established and runs two community libraries in Dabaso and Kakuyuni and further supports a satellite library at Watamu. It provides educational resources (books and computers) and funds secondary school bursaries. 52 bursary students supported by Akili Trust have graduated. Currently, the trust supports 26 students, many of whom would not have been able to attend secondary school without support.

The libraries are built in the compounds of local primary schools. They offer their facilities to the existing school population and to members of the local community, who use the libraries as a hub for reading, writing, and studying.

The Dabaso Rock story spread.

Visit akilitrust.org for more information and to buy a copy of the collection. All profits raised will go directly to the Akili Trust in Kenya.
